Car PPF in Gading Serpong

Paint protection film · INOZETEK

Short answer: Car PPF is a clear protective film applied over the paint to stop stone chips, fine scratches, and road grime. The car's original color stays visible. At First AutoWrap in Gading Serpong, we fit INOZETEK PPF in a dedicated PPF room using a 6-step process, on the whole body or only on the areas most at risk.

Key points:

  • Clear PPF protects the paint without changing the color. Colored PPF is also available if you want a new look at the same time.
  • We use INOZETEK film, available in several thicknesses.
  • The result depends on paint preparation, so every car goes through inspection, washing, and paint correction before the film goes on.
  • The price depends on the car model, panel area, and film choice. We give an estimate after seeing photos of your car.

What is car PPF?

PPF (paint protection film) is a thick, flexible clear polyurethane film. It is fitted over the paint panel by panel and works as a sacrificial layer: stones flicked up on the toll road, branches, or light scuffs hit the film instead of your paint.

Where a wrap is about changing the look, PPF is made for protection. If you are still deciding between the two, our article on car wrap or PPF covers the differences in more detail.

When does your car need PPF?

PPF makes the most sense if you like your car's current color and want to keep it that way for as long as possible. The situations we see most often:

  • a new car whose paint is still flawless and worth protecting from day one,
  • a car that spends a lot of time on toll roads or gravel,
  • dark or solid colors that show fine scratches easily,
  • premium or collector cars whose value depends on the condition of the paint.

If the paint is already fragile, peeling, or has an uneven respray, clear PPF will show those problems. In that case we recommend fixing the paint first.

Clear PPF or colored PPF?

Clear PPF keeps the factory color and only adds a protective layer. The finish can be gloss, so the paint looks wetter and deeper, or matte, which turns gloss paint into a satin look without painting.

Colored PPF changes the look and protects the paint in a single layer. There are fewer colors to choose from than with vinyl wrap, but the protection matches PPF. Another combination people often ask for: a wrap on the body for a new color, then PPF on the front bumper, hood, and mirrors.

Full body or selected areas?

Not every car needs full coverage. The choice depends on how the car is used and how far you want to go in protecting the paint.

  • Front end. Front bumper, hood, front fenders, and mirrors. These take the most stone chips at speed, so this package suits a daily driver that sees a lot of toll road.
  • Extra high-risk areas. The front end plus the area behind the wheels, door sills, and door cups (the recess behind the door handle that gets scratched by nails and keys).
  • Full body. Every painted panel is covered. This is common for new cars, premium cars, or cars kept in top condition for resale.

If you are unsure, we look at the paint and how you use the car first, then suggest the areas that make the most sense without pushing the biggest package.

The material we use

We use INOZETEK film for both wraps and PPF, in several thicknesses. Thicker film handles stone impacts better. Thinner film follows complex panel shapes more easily. We choose the thickness with you based on the shape of the car and how it is used.

Our 6-step PPF process

Clear film shows whatever is underneath it. That makes preparation as important as installation, and the order is the same for every car:

  1. Paint inspection, panel by panel. We check scratches, past repairs, and paint thickness before recommending anything.
  2. Thorough wash and decontamination. Dirt, tar, and iron particles are removed so they do not get locked under the film.
  3. Paint correction. Swirls and fine scratches are leveled with a machine polisher.
  4. Coating, depending on the package. An extra layer to suit your needs.
  5. Panel-by-panel installation. Pre-cut or tucked in, meaning the film edges are folded behind the panel so the seams do not show.
  6. QC under work lights. Edges, corners, and bubbles are checked before handover, together with a warranty and care guide.

All PPF work is done in an enclosed dedicated room so dust does not get locked under the film.

Caring for your car after PPF

PPF does not need complicated care, but a few habits keep the film clear for longer. In general:

  • give the film time to bond fully before the first wash, following the interval we give you at handover,
  • wash with a pH-neutral shampoo and a microfiber cloth, and avoid stiff brushes,
  • if you use a pressure washer, keep your distance and do not aim it straight at the film edges,
  • clean off bird droppings or tree sap quickly so they do not leave stains.

We give you a full care guide for the film on your car at handover, along with the warranty.

What sets the price of car PPF?

We do not post a price list here, because an honest price can only be worked out after seeing the car. What decides it:

  • Car model and size. A large body with lots of curves needs more film and more time.
  • Coverage. A full body is very different from a front-end package.
  • Film choice. Clear or colored, gloss or matte, and the thickness.
  • Starting paint condition. If deeper paint correction is needed, the job grows.

The quickest way: send photos and your car model on WhatsApp. We reply with a film recommendation and a cost estimate, and we agree on the schedule before the car comes in.

Frequently asked questions

What is car PPF?

PPF (paint protection film) is a thick, flexible clear polyurethane film applied over the paint. It takes the hits from stone chips, fine scratches, and road grime so the film gets marked instead of your paint.

How much does car PPF cost?

The price depends on the car model, how many panels are covered, and the film you choose. Send us photos and your car model on WhatsApp and we will reply with a film recommendation and a cost estimate.

Can PPF be removed?

Yes. PPF sits on top of the paint and can be removed. It is best removed by the installer so the paint underneath does not lift with it.

Does PPF change the color of the car?

Clear PPF does not change the color; the original paint stays visible. If you also want a new look, there is colored PPF.

Which parts should get PPF?

The whole body, or only the areas that take the most stone chips: front bumper, hood, mirrors, and the area behind the wheels. We help you decide after seeing the car and how you use it.
